Two powerful technical communication workshops will be conducted at SMRP.

The 31st Annual SMRP Conference joins maintenance, reliability, and physical asset management professionals from around the world on October 16-19, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. JD Solomon will again lead pre-and post-conference workshops on several topics this year.

Business Cases

The workshop will be ‘How to Effectively Communicate Business Cases to Senior Management.” The first part of the session will focus on good practices and approaches related to business cases. Items that will be covered include team composition and governance, problem framing, different types of financial analysis, addressing non-financial aspects, and different approaches for formatting the final document. The second part of the session will focus on communication strategies.

Facilitation Skills

On Thursday, conference participants will learn “How To Be A Better Facilitator of Reliability Methods.” The workshop focuses on the mental model CATER that enables a facilitator to be more effective. The workshop covers a topic that receives little formal attention in SMRP training yet is extremely important in yielding quality results.
